Foreign media WMPU reported that last year, Microsoft open sourced the modern Windows 10 calculator. Today the application appears on the Linux system platform and is provided by Uno Platform.
Uno Platform is a cross-platform runtime for C# and XAML, similar to Java, allowing cross-platform applications to look native on any supported platform.
On Linux, the Uno Platform application uses the Skia rendering engine to draw the UI, and is integrated into the Ubuntu desktop through the regular GTK framework, and is built using the Mono project.
In order to avoid copyright issues, this calculator has been uploaded to the Snap store, called Uno Calculator, which supports standard, scientific and programmer calculator functions, as well as a set of conversions between various units of measurement and currency Device.
OMGUbuntu points out that it is better than the native Gnome calculator, mainly because it supports more conversions and serves as a good proof of concept for the Uno project.
