Apple iPhone 12 series will have faster Face ID, improved zoom and longer battery life

The whistleblower Max Weinbach shared new information about the "finalized and revised" upcoming iPhone 12 via his Twitter account @PineLeaks today.

Weinbach said that the "most important thing" about the new iPhone was leaked by Chinese Weibo user @Kang last Friday, but he also provided some specific new information.
The news broke that Apple still intends to launch the "dynamic partition algorithm" function, which may make Face ID faster. Due to the smaller size of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini, the width of the bangs will be reduced. This will be achieved by arranging the components of the TrueDepth camera system more "tightly", but at the cost of increased height. In July, a screen picture of the alleged iPhone 12 mini appeared, which seemed to show a smaller gap.
Weinbach believes that all iPhone 12 models will gain significantly improved digital zoom capabilities through software enhancements, and iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will also benefit from improved optical zoom.
In addition, there may be a "a kind of macro camera" function, and the ultra-wide lens aperture on the Pro model may also be able to get closer to the subject, but these are not expected to be the main functions. It is speculated that the aperture of the ultra-wide lens will also be increased by up to 35% to improve low-light performance.
It is said that the battery life of the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will increase by at least one hour, but the battery life of the iPhone 12 mini is expected to be worse than the iPhone 11 due to its size.

Weinbach also emphasized the previous statement that the iPhone 12 model may support 4K video at 120 or 240 frames per second.

Apple has previously announced that it will hold a new product launch conference at 1:00 AM on October 14th, Beijing time, and IT House will bring detailed reports.
